The Eight, a 25-story glass and steel office tower by Pickard Chilton, featuring exposed structural elements, located in downtown Bellevue, Washington.

Office Development: In downtown Bellevue, The Eight also helped earn Skanska Developer of the Year honors. Pickard Chilton designed the LEED-certified project, which Skanska built. Besides Pokemon, tenants include Trade Desk and the coming Sabine Cafe. The latter will slot into the lobby, which also features a vinyl album listening lounge and many other amenities.

The Eight was honored by the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) with a 2025 Placemaking award, recognizing individuals and organizations that make downtown Bellevue a more vibrant urban environment.

Skanska USA Commercial Development yesterday celebrated topping out for 2+U in downtown Seattle.  The project takes up most of the block bounded by First and Second avenues and University and Seneca streets. Crews are building 2+U next to the Diller Hotel, which sits on the northwest corner of the block.

A giant “W” has sprouted along First Avenue near Seneca Street in downtown Seattle. The 85-foot-tall structure is made of large steel pipes that are the first of several columns that will support 2+U, an office complex being built by Skanska. 2+U will hover above a 24,000-square-foot outdoor urban village.
