Avant-Garde Architecture

The Iskandar Investment Headquarters designed by Pickard Chilton was featured in The Avant-Garde Architecture exhibition held at The Chicago Athenaeum, an International Museum of Architecture and Design. After the initial launch of the exhibition in Chicago during the summer of 2016, the exhibition traveled to Athens, Greece; Milan, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal; and Berlin, Germany.

The exhibited project by Pickard Chilton was commissiond by Iskandar Investment Berhad to create an internationally recognizable iconic design for the region in Nusajaya, Malaysia. As the centerpiece of a new park, the design both visually and practically sets the standard for environmentally sensitive development in the region. Elevated above ground, the building allows the verdant park landscape to flourish in its shadow, creating a tranquil courtyard with lobbies and vehicular drop-off courts at either end.
