LEED to Living Buildings

The 2010 IDID Conference was a symposium held in conjunction with The Dartmouth College Sustainability Initiative at Dartmouth College. The focus was to advance and promote the use of sustainable design practices in the renovation and construction of buildings and grounds on college campuses and in our communities.

The IDID (Integrated Design/Integrated Development) conferences illustrate multidisciplinary design processes that produce efficient, cost-effective, and delightful buildings, grounds, communities, and landscapes. A central concept is to make use of and protect ecological services, such as sunlight for daylighting and heat, shading for cooling, vegetated buffers for lakes, ponds, streams, and retention and reuse of stormwater.
