Pickard Chilton's Adrienne Nelson Named ENR New England Top Young Professional
Adrienne Nelson, AIA, LEED GA, an associate at Pickard Chilton, has been named one of ENR New England’s 2020 Top Young Professionals. The annual award recognizes the best and brightest emerging design and construction leaders from across the New England region, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Ms. Nelson is one of 10 professionals under 40 who received the honor this year and is among those who, in just a few short years, have built extraordinary industry portfolios, also donating significant amounts of time and expertise to serve their communities. Headquartered in New Haven, Conn., Pickard Chilton is an international architecture practice noted for its expertise in the design of large, complex and often high-profile buildings including corporate headquarters, high-rise commercial office towers, hotels, and academic and healthcare facilities. Ms. Nelson’s latest role was project manager for Boston Properties’ 325 Main Street, a corporate office tower for Google in Cambridge, Mass., and was also a key contributor to 2+U, an office tower and public plaza in Seattle, Washington. She has recently served as an AIA Connecticut board member and is the co-chair of the AIA Connecticut Emerging Professionals Community. She was also one of 28 professionals invited to join the 2020-2022 inaugural class of the AIA Leadership Academy. Ms. Nelson is also a mentor and former team leader for the New Haven affiliate of the ACE Mentor Program. She holds a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Iowa State University.
